January
January 7th – Woven in Moonlight by Isabel Ibañez
This was inspired by Bolivian politics and history which I do not know much about, but it sounds really good. Plus the cover is pretty.
January 21 – Whatever It Takes by K&B Ritchie
Krista and Becca Ritchie are one of my favorite new-adult, indie authors and this book is about two minor characters from their older series and I can’t wait to read this one. It was originally published on Wattpad but never finished, so they ended up finishing and adding new material to the old one in order to publish it as an doulogy. I cannot wait to read this romance and see two beloved characters again.
January 28th – Blood Countess by Lana Popovic
The cover is gorgeous and it is a Countess Dracula retelling. Sold.
February
February 4th – The Stars We Steal by Alexa Donne
I watch Alexa on YouTube and I am really interested in reading her writing. This is a sci-fi that started as a retelling of a Jane Austen book and has Bachelor vibes. As I have never read an Austen book, so the Bachelor vibes has me sold on it(guilty pleasure to the max).
February 25th – The Shadows Between Us by Tricia Levenseller
This is a standalone where the main character is trying to woo the Shadow King, marry him and kill him to take his kingdom. Sign me up.
March
March 3rd – House of Earth and Blood Sarah J Maas
I am Sarah J. Maas trash, and as of right now I will pick up anything she publishes. I fly through her books and this one will be the same, hopefully.
March 3rd – The Kingdom of Black by Marie Lu
Marie Lu is one of my favorite authors and I believe this is another fantasy book. I don’t like knowing too much about books before reading them, but I love Marie Lu so on the list it goes.
March 10th – Bone Crier’s Moon by Kathryn Purdie
This is a new YA fantasy series that gives me zombie vibes, has talks of gods and the story is about finding her best friends who has been taken. It a bit confusing so far but I am very interested to read it.
March 10th – In Five Years by Rebecca Serle
This one is about a woman who has a vision of five years into her future and her life is completely different. Fast track four and a half years later, she meets the man who was in her vision. I believe this is a romance based on destiny so I am intrigued to find out how everything unravels.
April
April 4th – Set Fire to the Gods by Sara Raasch and Kristen Simmons
Gladiators. Gods. New fantasy series. Leggo.
April 7th – Check Please! Sticks and Scones by Ngozi Ukazu
The first one was the cutest thing ever. The graphic novel is about a college boy who plays hockey, bakes and vlogs. Definitely a must read for me this year.
May
May 5th – Aurora Burning by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff
I really enjoyed the first one in this series, I listened to it on audiobook and it was a great experience with a full cast which allowed me to enjoy the experience more than I would have if I read it. So can’t wait for this to come out and to listen to it.
May 12th – House of Dragons by Jessica Cluess
I have a thing for dragons. I love them and want to read about them all the time.
May 19th – The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes by Suzanne Collins
The Hunger Games is what made me fall in love with reading so, I really hope that I enjoy this one! This is prequel that is set at the tenth Hunger Games, and is
June
June 23rd – Forest of Souls by Lori M. Lee
This is new YA fantasy series about destiny and sisterhood. I love destiny. I haven’t read a lot of fantasy with strong sisterhood elements yet, so I am excited to get to this one.
September
September 8th – The Other Side of the Sky by Amie Kaufman and Meghan Spooner
I read Amie and Meghan’s first collaboration when I was younger and loved it. I am hoping that this new one can be one I love too.
October
October 6th – Skyhunter by Marie Lu
Marie Lu is one of my auto-buy authors and I am interested in anything she writes. Honestly, do not know what this is about.
October 6th – The Invisible Life of Addie La Rue by V.E. Schwab
I follow Victoria on Instagram and followed along on her stories in which she discussed how difficult this story was to write, which intrigues me for some reason. I have read one book by her and am interested in the other things she has to write. This one is about a girl who lives forever because she sold her soul. It sounds dark and twisted which is right up my alley.
